Laila Diallo wants to bring an audience to her making process and wonders if you’d like to join them at Siobhan Davies Studios on Nov 28, 4pm
EVERYTHING DOESN’T FIT TOGETHER
This is an invitation.
We are making a dance. We are at the beginning with it. And we are thinking about ideas of co-existence and co-operation, wondering if we can design a work that explores ambiguity, porosity, incompleteness. While we are thinking about how, in our dancing and outside of it, we manage our togetherness, it would be super useful to have you for an audience. Your presence would help us make some decisions as to what this dance might become and how we shape the space together.
If you can make it, let us know by emailing email@example.com so we know you are coming.
Laila Diallo is a dance maker based in Bristol working and presenting work across the UK and internationally. In this initial phase of development for a new performance work, she is joined by: performers Natalie Corne, Laura Dannequin, Luke Divall, Helka Kaski, Camille Marchadour and Tilly Webber; composer Ellie Showering; dance artist Katherine Hall as critical friend; producer Emma Bettridge and cinematographer Jack Offord.
The project is supported using public funding by Arts Council England and through Pavilion Dance South West Surf Generator Seed Funding. With additional support from Bristol Ferment Leverhulme Scholarship, Siobhan Davies Dance, Tobacco Factory Theatre Residency Programme and Trinity Centre.
